La comunidad de F1, principalmente los equipos y pilotos, mostraron su respaldo ante la decisión de no realizar el Gran Premio de Emilia-Romaña este fin de semana y su solidaridad con la población local.
Debido a las lluvias continuas en ésta y otras regiones del norte de Italia, se han generado inundaciones y deslaves, por lo cual se ordenaron evacuaciones de miles de personas.
De hecho, han trascendido imágenes de los esfuerzos de los equipos de emergencia para rescatar a personas que no pudieron salir de sus casas a tiempo. Faenza, sede de AlphaTauri, es una de las decenas de localidades perjudicadas por el desbordamiento de ríos.
Por este motivo, se decidió cancelar la competencia que se realizaría en el Autódromo Enzo y Dino Ferrari, el cual también se vio afectado por la acumulación de agua en varias zonas, como los hospitalities de las series de soporte y en la que se ubicaba su unidad de transmisiones.
Tras la cancelación del Gran Premio, pilotos y equipos han enviado sus mensajes de solidaridad ante el público.
